Radio City is a FM radio station in India. It broadcasts on 91.1 (earlier 91.0 in most cities) megahertz from Mumbai (where it was started in 2004), Bangalore (started first in 2001), Lucknow and New Delhi. It plays Hindi songs, English and regional songs. It was launched in Hyderabad in March, 2006 , in Chennai on July 7th 2006 and in Vishakapatnam October 2007. Radio City recently forayed into New Media in May 2008 with the launch of a new mega music portal - PlanetRadiocity.com that offers music related news, videos, songs, and other music-related features.
RadioCity has launched Fun Ka Antenna - Online Radio Station which plays hits across genres including International, Bollywood, Indipop and Sufi among others.
Radio City Bangalore is India's first private FM radio station and was started on July 3, 2001. It launched with presenters such as Rohit Barker, Darius Sunawala, Jonzie Kurian and Suresh Venkat.
Over the years, the station had been steadily losing popularity with the launch of newer stations in Bangalore. The station has been criticized for multiple format changes and presenter lineup.
The Radio station currently plays a mix of Hindi and Kannada music.
Recently as of July,2006 it has announced plans to invest Rs. 700 to 800 million in the current fiscal year to set up 16 FM (Frequency Modulation) stations across India.
